A Mongolian horse that can find its way home is a treasured thing indeed. Such horses are not sold but kept in the family and lent out to friends and those in need of a ride without fear, since they can come home again on their own!

I encountered many a rainy day towards the end of September - Seeing a lone horse running across the steppes, and against the stormy skies as if trying to escape the inevitable downpour - I could not help but wonder if he was one of these special "homing horses"!
